The Prosecution was established on Feb. 1, 1990 and located at No. 586, Ming-cheng 3rd Road, Gushan District, Kaohsiung. The area is nearly 1.0853 hectares.

The first nominated chief prosecutor was Mr. Gin Yuan-chie, who overcame all difficulties to create the system. The second chief prosecutor was Mr. Hong Zhen-hsiung, who made great efforts to build a strong prosecution and also constructed the dormitory. The third chief prosecutor was Mr. Chang Shun-chi, who was an innovator in operations and made it more convenient to the public. The 4th chief prosecutor is Mr. Chen Zhong-ming, who puts action into power and leads the special investigation team to crack down corruption , organized crime and bring criminals to justice successfully. The present Chief prosecutor who does his best to maintain public security and reduce violence. The Prosecution always carries out the duty in a prompt, legal and proper way under the leadership of several chief prosecutors. The operation of the Prosecution is running very smoothly, particularly in regards to the performance of prosecution. The speed and accuracy of settling criminal cases has received the first place in all High Prosecutors Office Branches and the received appraisal considering it the best. The prosecution of the second trial has reached a high level. It not only reinforces the nation’s security, but also continues the spirit of democratic law and order.
